As an Entry-Level Data Scientist, you will work closely with the monetization and marketing teams to analyze player behavior, improve game performance, and support data-driven decision-making. You will use statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to uncover insights that enhance player engagement and monetization.
Key Responsibilities Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights on player behavior, retention, and monetization. Develop and implement predictive models (e.g., churn prediction, player segmentation, LTV forecasting). Design and monitor A/B tests to evaluate game features, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns. Create dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with game developers to integrate analytics into game design. Identify trends and anomalies in player data to suggest improvements.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis. Experience with statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and machine learning. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Passion for mobile gaming and understanding of gaming KPIs (DAU, MAU, ARPU, retention). Preferred (but not required): Knowledge of big data tools (Spark, Hadoop). Experience/Knowledge with game analytics platforms (Firebase, Google Analytics). Basic understanding of mobile game monetization strategies (ads, IAPs).
